Should I fill the refrigerator space?

I'm looking for only French-Door refrigerators and I have space that accommodates most refrigerator sizes. The width of the available space in my house is 38 inches. Giving up 1" (total 2") of breathing space on either side, do I need to buy only a 36" wide refrigerator?

Does it look bad (aesthetically) if I get a 33" wide refrigerator? FYI, the depth of the 33" model is higher than the depth of the 36" model.

The reason why I want to get a smaller one is the cost (33" is $450 less). Overall capacity also reduced (from 29 cu. ft to 25 cu. ft.). But that is something I'm okay with it. Less energy overall in the long run.

In the end, my goal is to have a good-looking kitchen. I have the waterfall model which is the main focal point.
