Should I order a footboard for a double bed in the guest room?
Comments (2)Hello, if your overnight guests are tall fellows like myself I would vote for no footboard or a very low profile footboard. I am 6'4" and find a full size bed (54" x 74") acceptable for guest rooms....See Morebed size for guest room
Comments (22). It seems that we often have a single guest and it seems a shame to have to launder king bedding after the stay. Honestly, I really don't see what difference it makes as long as you have a washer. You have to do the laundry, anyway. I have one set of sheets per bed - they go into the washer & dryer and back on the bed. I can't imagine any married couple not being able to sleep in twin beds for a night or two, plus having to have three complete sets of bedding (one set for the king, and two sets for the twins) because of an occasional guest's whim. I couldn't even store the extra bedding, including mattress pads and bedspreads and the thing to create the king. I'd be crabby and send them to a motel! (It would probably be cheaper than all that extra bedding...) Double beds are not much roomier than twins for a couple, so I'd do either a king or two twins, or the queen and daybed option. When all six of our kids and their families come home the gkids mainly want to have sleepovers in the family room anyway. It's only when only one family comes home that everyone gets his/her own bed. We have a queen and a twin in one room, a king in another, and a queen in the third guest room. Hub and I have a king....and we're cramped in queen beds....See MoreTwin vs Twin XL for Guest Bed and/or Master
Comments (4)Recommend Twin XL. Twin-XL size is only 5 inches in length longer than the standard twin. But 5 inches will be important for a comfortable sleep. No one will like to sleep with legs up in the air....See MoreHow do you feel about a guest room with 2 F/Q beds?
Comments (44)Annette, husbands can be so inconvenient for decorating at times, can't they! Moderntropicalglam, the paint can is so old I can't really make out the color. Going by the paint used in rest of house, I am going to deduce this is a benjamin Moore CC (designer classics) collection and of those colors I think it looks like Prairie Lily. Also to you and holly, thanks for saying I'm not fluffy but it's ok! I'm pretty fine being on the fluffy side and likely have chosen photos you've seen as carefully as any gal on a dating website....See Moredecoenthusiaste
