Twin vs Twin XL for Guest Bed and/or Master

Diane Clayton

Moving into a 2nd home (old farmhouse in town). Most of my friends would prefer single beds rather than a Queen that is often in a guest room. I like twins that can be apart or together. But what length? My son and daughter in law are over 6 ft but they only visit once a year and he often ends up sleeping on a large sofa. A friend said the bedding is expensive, but again, it's a 2nd home so I don't plan on wearing out a set of sheets. An XL could eventually be put on one of those adjustable beds. But will I be very restricted on what I can buy? Haven't purchased a frame, so thought I'd just get simple metal frames until I figure everything out. I have decided on Casper beds with a bunky board.
