Shrubs n Bulbs hit the nail on the head. If the footer is in bad shape, anything you do on top is of limited use as it will just continue to crumble. On the other hand, if it's fairly sound, there is one option that might easily stay in place for fifty plus years. Start by cleaning the existing wall as best you can. A rental pressure-washer will do the trick. Then bend rebar to fit vertically and tightly over the existing wall and anchor it to the old footer by pouring a build-up right on top of or adjacent to it. Then tie on horizontal rebar all along the length. Space the bars about every six inches and you can get by with a smaller gauge bar like a number three (3/8ths inch). Then tie 4x4 steel wire mesh over & onto the rebar. From there, mix a good batch of 1-2-3 (cement,sand, gravel) and pack it firmly over the reinforcement and onto wall. You will also need to apply a good bonding agent both to the mix & onto the old wall. Adding some log-strand fibers to the mix will help as well. Build up a mass that is at least one to 1 1/2 inches thick over the steel and let it fully cure. As for finish, you can either texture and color it (similar to any plaster finish you like)...sculpt/carve a fake rock pattern...or "scratch" it so that you can come back after curing and top it with real or faux stone. And, since you said you have a mixer, the addition of an air-entrainement admix would give you about as much resistance to freeze-thaw damage as possible...but it does indeed take a mixer to get that benefit. Hand mixixng simply won't produce the bubbles consistently enough to realize that benefit. All-in-all, if the footer is solid, you should be able to build a new fascia right over the old and end up with a good looking "new" wall that will last for quite a while. One last note...if you are considering a real or faux-stone...check with local pros for recs on type and placement techniques. The weather (way up there) will be the driver for determining the best selection and application techniques. If anyone else has any thoughts or experience, PLEASE comment. I'm just a Southern boy trying to help, but freely acknowledge my limited (make that, "lack of") experience with the conditions this structure will have to face up to. The area where I live most of the houses are brick, except for the new builds they like slapping up siding because it is much cheaper. I have to say my least favorite brick is orange or yellow brick. That being said don't paint the brick, you just will make more work for yourself. Brick is not meant to be painted. Black trim would make it look like Halloween. Green is too much of a contrast. The examples of the brick above is not a true orange yellow brick like yours. There is more red in the brick in the examples above. I would stick with a tan or a warm brown for the trim and siding. It's hard to tell from the picture, but if there isn't a door to the top porch I would remove it. It does not look original to the house.

Your brick is very pretty and warm. Blues and greens look nice with peach (which I like BTW).
