Agree somewhat, Ping pong table and pool table, but the house hasn't really been trashed. Would definitely take work but really looks so grand. I can only imagine it in its day or restored. I love the looks of its exterior especially.

It says 1855 but I do not think that is correct. I am going to say 1890 to 1910, unless there is a heavily remodeled earlier house under there somewhere.

Lots of great bones there. Lots of horrible real estate photos! Is it so hard to take a pic of a room??? And to not repeat the same photos?

Who took the pictures??? If not the 'for sale by owner' original pics than they need a newer yet realty company!! They are not helping at all. I too would love to hear the history. It is obvious from some of the additions over time..the ramp, ping pong table etc who ever lived there made the home fit the needs of the family as it changed over time. I am seeing grandkids at the ping pong table where back when gr. grandparents built the home billards was the game of gentlemen... The stain glass windows and porches are to die for!

Terrible photos, there is not one good overall view of the kitchen, for example. But, lovely home.

I've had this experience IRL before. The exterior of the house makes me wonder, "Who lives a charmed life here?" And then I've gone in and been immediately dismayed. But there is a gorgeous house buried in there, and the Hudson River Valley is just beautiful.

Yes, too bad about the sad lack of any attempt at staging for photos. It looks haphazard and cluttered, and not clean when it could shine. The photos definitely do not help. There is a diamond in there somewhere.

Did they just tear off a piece of paper to try to cover the info on the back of the router? How about, move the router? and the Expo markers? etc? or just the camera?

Set aside the unfortunate decor, kitchen layout, and sagging overhang outside. Put on your romantic novel glasses. And you see the inviting foyer, the sitting nook!, the magnificent staircase, the coffered ceilings. Hudson Valley, I’ve always wanted to visit, maybe spend a year.

The property looks like it was quite a large one, bits sold off for development over the years, leaving them their easement driveway.

I love the cabinet over the sink in the kitchen. The picture with the dining tables (more than 1) makes me wonder if it was a bed and breakfast. In the right hands it could work wonderfully as such. I love some of the exterior porches.

It doesn't look terrible. The furniture should be culled a little, or at least rearranged.

I've never seen a piano set up with bar stools. Pretty sure my piano tech guy would frown at that.

I currently have a ping pong table in my kitchen so I won't comment on that.

I think I would bonk my head on th cupboard over the sink, especially the corners!. I had a kitchen where the only cupboards were along the sink wall, and I did not like it!

Joey and Chandler had a foosball table in their foyer/entry on Friends.

If I had that much square footage, I'd have a pool table, ping pong table, AND a foosball table. And none of them would be in the kitchen!

It looks like it was set up as a rental which could explain a lot. Terrible listing pictures. Not sure why they showed the .99 place mats on the dining table as a selling feature.

Oh the mill work! Gorgeous house and I'm sure a money pit for maintenance but if you have it, totally worth it IMO. You'd have to have a painter on retainer just for the exterior! Hopefully someone will love it enough to bring it back to glory days.

Loving bones, just needs some $, TLC and a good eye (and kitchen reno -- yikes, that layout touched me the way only a former Kitchen Forum addict could suffer). I can't believe the picture quality --even most phones can take better pictures right now. This serves an excellent argument for tidying and decluttering before listing.

Well, it's still available. I don't recall what it was listed at before. In case you were having second thoughts- it's been "re-listed".

Is that one weird angle shot of a greenhouse? As for the house, yes please! I love woodwork! Too expensive though, it needs some work and an endowment for maintenance.
