Comments (16)Thank you, everybody, for your wonderful compliments! Maybe I should reconsider yellow:-), yellow blooms do go nicely with green foliage. Judy, the white bush is double bridal wreath spirea. It blooms before roses, which is great, but the branches become so heavy it regularly falls over the roses breaking rose canes off. It has a very lax growth habit (very romantic and pretty). Christina, I am sorry about the mildew. It could be just a bad year. For me, last year was much worse than this. Comments (3)I grow LH down here in a container and I do not spray. She gets a few spots here and there but not enough to defoliate it. It has more apricot coloring in the winter down here. Comments (14)These are both exceptional roses. They both have some shade tolerance, so four hours of sun might be fine. In the book "The English Roses", Mr. Austin speaks highly about both. He considers Golden Celebration, perhaps his finest rose. But if they are going in a container, yes Jubilee is the one for you. I am so surprised that in California it is staying so compact.
