home remedy for kittens with ringworm
Comments (61)I have come up with a wonderful cure for cats with ringworm (and I'm sure it's safe for kitties too). First, let me give you a back story or scroll down to read what I have been doing to get rid of ringworm on my cat. I noticed the first lesion about 3 weeks ago. I was unaware it was ringworm at the time. It looked similar to what could have been a bite from another animal. She is an indoor cat BUT we do have a pesky little mouse so that was just my first thought. About a week later she had another lesion on her back and I noticed her first lesion was expanding and very red. The new lesion was red and shiny. That's when I did my research and figured out it was most likely ringworm. I kind of wanted to just ignore the whole situation because it made me uncomfortable. I went into denial and told myself it would just go away. I was wrong. I ended up finding a small spot on my stomach a few days later. This really put me in a panic and that's when I decided I had to treat this WITHOUT going to the vet. Vets can be very beneficial for many things, but not for ringworm . Ringworm is completely treatable and is not as serious as it may sound. It does not harm your cat or make your cat sick. It is more of just a pain in the ass. Your vet will most likely charge you over 200 for a diagnosis and "testing", and another 200 for medication and follow-ups. Who even knows, but that vet bill will come out to be over $400 for something that is completely treatable at home. So as of today, my cat is healing. The lesions are turning into a pale grey, the color of her fur, which I am assuming is the natural color of her skin. The lesions are not spreading or growing. We sprayed the house down with bleach and washed our cloths in apple cider vinegar and/or aloe vera. (Both can be found at walmart...ACV= $2. Aloe=$8. ) CURE RINGWORM ON YOUR KITTY FOR LESS THAN $10 !!! CLEAN THE &*#T OUT OF YOUR HOUSE. SERIOUSLY.....EVERYTHING. Spray furniture with apple cider vinegar mixed with aloe vera. Doesn't smell and it won't ruin anything. 1. apply aloe vera to kittys lesions 5-6 times a day. Hold kitty or distract them before they can start licking. Let it soak in for 1-2 minutes before you let them start licking. 2. Give them a bath at some point. Mix over the counter cat shampoo with aloe vera. Use lots and lots of aloe vera, and just a little shampoo. 3. Spray a mixture of aloe vera/apple cider vinegar/water on your cats lesions and under their nails. Spray it in their ears...on their butt...everywhere...6-10 times a day. And use this spray on your furniture and clothing. Use it everywhere. Hope that helps. I didn't see results for about a week with my cat. She is doing a lot better but we still don't let her in our room or on the bed. And we still are cleaning and bleaching consistantly. Oh yeah and for my ringworm..... had to put bleach on it. I don't recommend this but nothing else worked. It was my last resort but it does work. Also, I have been washing my hair and body in aloe vera. All seems to be helping. My boyfriend has not gotten a single lesion and mine has not spread anywhere else. make sure you still treat your kittys ringworm even after weeks that it has completely healed. I will be doing the same routine to my cat for about 2 months after her ringworm goes away. I'll do baths every 2 weeks....See MoreWhen you pick the wrong paint color ...
Comments (24)Pammyfay, I hired a painter and tried paint samples and nailed it right with the BM Bone white that I love in every room of my house. I even repainted the home office from BM Linen White (was way to yellow with the fluorescent lamps in my office) since the BM Bone white is so neutral and calming to my eyes and goes great with white trim. I did not like the Ralph Lauren Deep cream in my three bathrooms and Master Bedroom but I added accessories and soft white sheers over the Honeycomb blinds that I ordered too dark and now I like the bedroom's blinds and walls. However due to the lighting in the bathroom and the bone skins, tub and toilet, I hated the Deep Cream that appears so lemony screaming at me. I finally had it repainted a month later to BM Navajo White that is less lemony and a touch darker and goes better but the painter did a bad job and there are running marks down the wall as he rushed to do the job with another job that afternoon and put the second coat on before the first coat dried. I have been living with this mistake for a few years but glad at least the color does not get on my nerves. I am going to have it repainted either BM Bone White or maybe BM Muslim. When I have time, I will try paint samples. I wish I could paint the Master Bathroom myself but the ceiling is too high. I may repaint the powder room and the middle full bathroom one day myself but I am still doing hand therapy since I fell in January and my thumb and elbow are not recovering that quickly. Thank goodness I don't have carpel tunnel syndrome and can type well but my thumb has a lot of pain and I can't lift it and my elbow's pain is still bad. I was diagnosed with thumb tendinitis and elbow tendinitis and the hand therapist thinks I also have some nerve damage on my arm. She is wonderful and helping me. So one day when I am doing better, I will see if I can repaint those two rooms myself but I can live with the colors in those two rooms since I am not in them much. I painted a spare room BM Philadelphia Cream and it is too yellow for me but not as bad as that Deep cream was in my Master Bathroom (which amazingly is not bad in the bedroom due to the furnishings, lighting and accessories.... I don't mind the color at all there)but since I am not in that room that much, I can live with it. I would live with the color for a few more days and if it is too much, since it is your bedroom and you need to be at peace when you sleep, I would repaint it. Paint is so difficult to choose....See MoreCould someone find a remedy for this?
Comments (20)In response to Joseph Corlett LLC: I am the link you are looking for. I am the one the decided I would try to learn to love the flaws, but I can't. It's bothered me to know that I spent $10,000 of HARD-EARNED $$$ to pay for this and we are not happy. My husband works in a mill 50 hours weeks for $14 an hour. He's on his feet the entire time. Money does not come easy to us. Sure, it's not your problem of how my husband earns his living, or how hard he works. But how would you feel if you, or your wife, worked HARD and sacrificed (not eating out, no vacations, etc.) to have something like this and it turned our badly? I don't believe that you would be so accepting. I simply feel most of the issues I'm having were preventable with a bit of extra effort. I've had four landscapers here and without my prompt they have all mentioned why the contractor left the work as he did. They all questioned why the walk ended on a slope in a hole. They all questioned why the visible edges weren't finished. You can see from the photos that these are areas that can't be easily hidden. You have your opinion, and I have mine. Mine is they did sloppy work and it was preventable with not much more effort. They chose the low road because it was easier and the job was taking them longer than they anticipated. As I mentioned in a prior post, them not planning for the length of a job is not my fault. When a contractor comes to your home they are basically your 'employee' for that period of time. You pay them for a job WELL done - not a job ONLY done. If I do a crappy job at work, I'm called on it, and so is most everyone else in the workforce. I don't get paid to do a job, I get paid to do a job right - there's a difference. I gave this guy $10,000. I provided Gatorade, lunch and bottles of water every day that they were here. I treated these guys WELL, and I'm upset that I made the extra effort for them and they didn't for me. You'd be disappointed, as well....See MoreLarge affordable DR rug: connect 3 5x8 or paint a 15x8 plain one?
Comments (20)quick drive-by: WOW! Thank you so much for your responses/ideas/suggestions. I'm not a shopper (other than Lands' End/LLBean), so I really don't know what is available out there. I saw this article on bold rugs where they showed a RH Diamante Flatweave rug which I love but can't afford. So I thought to brainstorm something creative. I will look at other options/stores/ebay, etc. I was also thinking of a non-common size for my narrow/long Dining Room. again THANK YOU. --- I'll need to start another thread on colors. I have a 4-corner colonial home where half of it is grayish-blue/chrome accessories. The DR is in the 3rd corner (office in the 4th). --> Does the DR have follow the grayish blue? I already own gorgeous silk drapes - olive/golden sheen. The room is naked except for the drapes/cherry curtain rods, and medium brown pine wood floor. I have a gorgeous antique large baroque gold rectangle mirror, that I'm thinking of standing on the floor/leaning against a wall. So I'm thinking of staying in the Olive/Golden color scheme. Yes?
