Consistency is best, but there can be a certain consistency in non-uniformity. Are the stained windows within one room? Are the french doors? One option that you have that also has historical antecedents is a stained door with white trim, windows/ trim, and baseboards, and you could do this throughout the house for a certain amount of consistency. If the windows with the stained trim are all in one room, perhaps that entire room could have stained woodwork. Note that doing stain grade doors throughout the entire house can get relatively pricey. The key is to have a rather consistent plan or hierarchy and following it.

You may have trouble contacting the manufacturer. If they are Stanley doors, odds are they weren't made by Stanley (the tool & tape measure co) as we know it. As an example - Stanley Windows are not and never were made by Stanley Tools. The name was bought by some sort of licensing agreement by Silverline and used as a marketing gimmick because of the familiarity of the name. Unless you know where the doors came thru (lumberyard etc) it could be tough to know who assembled the doors. We are a distributor and our doors are made by a small outfit using the Masonite program. Really "all" they do is bring in the door blanks and hang them into various jamb depth frames and cut/insert different glass lites etc. As you can imagine they don't "make" those plastic IG frames you are looking for, and neither does the company that hung your doors - but they bring them in by the truckload. I have had occassion to use them as replacements in the past but can't for the life of me remember what they cost. Are yours the type where there is an identical piece on the other side of the door with visible screw holes (or capped holes)going around the perimeter? Is there grid pattern, like a 9lite, or just glass? What is the outside width and height dimension of the part? I'd be happy to see if it's an exact match, it probably is. I can't imagine they cost too much to ship, they don't weigh much. Ed

Because the brick around the door is sheltered by the overhang you could probably paint it without having to worry about damaging its ability to breathe. However, there is an alternative way to change the color of brick and mortar. I've been fascinated by DYEBRICK since I first discovered the company. The non-toxic, water-based stain soaks in so the texture of the brick is retained. In addition to traditional brick colors they offer LimeLike that can significantly whiten even dark brick. Final color is determined by dilution rate with the fixative. HERE is a photo of one job. The only problem is that people from the U.S. and Canada have to order the product from England.

I like the way this house is finished with simple cove crown molding. I like that the molding is white, but the door is stained wood. Where the ceiling is slanted they omitted the crown molding; much cleaner look for that area. The base molding is quite generous.
