Livingroom has natural Acacia wood flooring in warm cinnamon with streaks of maple & medium walnut color, and the adjacent room is travertine. The stair treads that transition to both rooms are solid red oak stained medium walnut with white risers, bronze/black wrought iron railings, white walls. The previous owner installed Acacia flooring on the stair landings, but I am changing to red oak to match the existing treads and appear like more solid wood landings. What color stain should I use, if any? I can change the color of the treads to match the new landings or just match the treads. I would like to keep the wood as natural a color as possible, maybe even a lighter weathered oak tone?
