What is the point of playing a game if you make up the rules as you go along?? Trivia is defied as unimportant facts or details - FACTS - not made-up answers! If one were playing this game in competition - which is common for trivia games - you'd be laughed off the scene. If the game is posted here only to amuse, then perhaps rename it to "what outlandish answers can you provide"?

If one takes the trouble to find all sorts of esoteric trivia questions to ask, then why is it such a stretch to also have the correct answers at hand?

Don't know if my answer was correct or not but one of the bars I used to go to had a sign with that definition on the wall. Sounds a lot better than what gg posted!

I will guess a bottle of milk before it goes bad...at least that's the way it goes at my house. We only use it in cooking.

I can think of two reasons:

First, to fact check everything would be a huge time burden, and we are lucky to have the time Jasdip gives us. And, of course, we have you to fact check. And perhaps a more collegial correction might be more in keeping with the fun nature of this game.

It would be different if this was a medical or financial forum, where harm would be done if an accidentally mangled fact made it across the finish line once or twice a year. But it isn't. There is no situation I can imagine where your claim (you have after all not cited your authorities) would make a difference one way or another.

Second, the best answers are the fun imaginative ones anyway IMHO.
