May I use a 12 inch springform pan......
Comments (9)I agree, LindaC, my pumpkin cheesecake has 24 ounces of cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups pumpkin and 1/4 cup maple syrup as well as 1/2 cup heavy cream. That's 5 1/4 cups of liquid (plus eggs, sugar, etc). It gets baked in a 9 inch springform. Colleen's recipe has 6 cups of ingredients, plus eggs/sugar/etc so a 10 inch pan would be fine and a 12 inch pan would be thinner but still OK. As mentioned, watch the cooking time and adjust. Comments (43)Lavender--thanks for your thoughts. I do need a place for beverages off the larger buffet space at the end. Appetizers would go on the buffet first to be replaced by the main meal later. I always have a problem finding a place for drinks. They could go on the buffet with the appetizers, but then they'd need a place to go after that when the meal was set out. I'm not sure where I'd put them after that. I'd like a space for them to live permanently. Depending on what kind of entertaining we're doing (kids party vs. holiday vs. adult b-day), usually we have a couple bottles of wine or a pitcher of cocktails I've mixed up in bulk ahead of time, water, and a non-alcoholic beverage like an herbal lemonade (whatever looks good in the garden--basil, mint, lavender, or my fav rosemary!) or a fruity iced tea. Usually people help themselves. Rhome--Looks great! I can see the mirror! ;) I think that's probably best functionally, even though I love the hutch idea visually. Those uppers are 12" deep, right? Even though they would stick out a bit farther than the wall, I think that's fine. That wall with the art would be a great place for something cool or creative. Did you create that modern art yourself? ;) Thanks again!...See More30 inch, 32 inch or 36 inch farm sink?
Comments (15)@Ellen Allard My sink is from Havens Metal. Havens Metal When I was remodeling I did a lot of research on copper sinks once I decided I wanted one and so I knew that I wanted a sink that had a living patina and not any kind of artificial factory patina. The sink is expensive - a luxury but I love it. The other maker of high quality sinks is Rachiele and they are equivalent. Havens actually fabricated the Rachiele sinks for many years until they went their separate ways. When I purchased my sink, Havens was about $1000 less for the same configuration. The quality is equivalent but Havens is a slightly larger operation and makes more than sinks so they have economy of scale to some degree. I do have a less expensive copper sink in my guest bath with an artificial factory finish. I was fine with that because it just doesn't get the same kind of wear from people washing their hands a few times a week. That sink is from Premier Copper Products. I mention them because they do have some great copper stuff that is well priced. My hood is a custom job from them and they also did a custom copper medallion my designer sketched for them. I also have some copper tiles from them interspersed in my back splash as well as switch plates. Premier Copper...See MoreCreative use of 6 inch space between refrigerator and wall?
Comments (15)Brooms and stepstools are both good ideas. I would *not* put wine there, unless it's extremely short-term storage. The space around the fridge will blow warm air, which is not good for wine. And even if you don't keep it around long (i.e., you're not aging it) drinking wine that's above room temperature generally is not a very enjoyable experience....See MoreAndre'a Steurer
