You might try using a different browser. Houzz functions differently (for me) depending on the browser that I am using.

What browser are you currently using? What device are you using? Which portal are you using - houzz or gardenweb?

I don't think it's you. At least I can tell you it's me too. The search function used to really work well. I think it was a few years ago. Now it's extremely random and my experience is that if it does work at all, the first page I see is usually posts from 2012 and earlier.

Wow! I wasn't expecting such wildly varying results. Foodonastump, I get a page of results with what looks like there are pages and pages listed on the bottom, but when I click on ANY of the pages, I always am still on the first page. When you clicked on page 2 or 10 or whatever, did it actually take you to a different page of totally different postings?

Bpath, are you typing in the search area on the top of the page? That's crazy!

Lars, I'm on an old Acer Chromebook. I bought a new HP Chromebook earlier this year, and the first time when accessing Houzz through Gardenweb, which is what I always use, that's when Google took over and I lost my name when I tried to log in. I was so upset I never used it again. I'll fire it up later and see if I have the same problem, and I'll also get out my ancient Macbook Pro which I no longer use and see what happens with that as well.

Salvona, I never looked at how old the posts were I was getting, I'll check that out, too.

It's not just you OP, that happens to me also.

Difficulties accessing various features are not uniform. I believe it depends on the device, the browser and which side of the platform you frequent.

I only access the GardenWeb side of the platform, only on my laptop and with a Chrome based browser. I have no issues searching and can access as many pages as may turn up in the search. I also find the search feature works far better and with far more precision on the GW side.....Houzz searches are a mess!!

I also never sign out.

When did you post the question and in which forum? I found a thread in the Building a Home forum (Feb 2020) using the search words…mudroom garage. If your name is Shelli it may be the one you are looking for??

Same as Gardengal48, I have no problem with searching on gardenweb.com. I'm using Firefox on a desktop PC.

Yed. For example here are three pages resulting from a search on ”seagrass”:

Maddie - I didn't post, I was just using the search bar to explore past posts. I read down the first page then wanted to see what was on page two, but realized they were the posts from page one. I checked other pages, and nope, couldn't access any other pages. I checked another topic from another forum and same problem. I've been gone all day and just got home - no time to check my other computers as planned - tomorrow after work...ETA I'll also check to see that post you mentioned.

Some of my devices don't let me page down. But I never have that problem with the desktop computer.
