When you put manure in your yard what do your dogs do?
Comments (3)No odor. But that may also mean no nutrients. My uncle, an old farmer when I was growing up, spread manure on his fields and tilled it in within 24 hours of spreading it so the nutrients would not be lost to the atmosphere. He said what you smell from manure is nutrients going out into the air....See MoreWhat do you use for fleas on your dog?
Comments (17)yes I have and even fresh ones. I had a friend here for a while whose little dog is diabetic and she fed her green beans and carrots and peas as treats. Mia was very interested since that dog loved them and I thought ok this might make her eat something like that. She tried it once and spit it out LOL. She has always had a sensitive stomach since she showed up here and had been living on bugs and roots and was so skinny. Now she eats chicken breast that I cook for her, boneless skinless and steamed so there is no fat, then I put it in the food processor. I mix her probiotics in each bowl. She also has Blue Buffalo crunchy food that she will occasionally munch on. On a rare occasion she might take a tiny bite of cheese but no guarantees. She would however eat meat from our dinner plate if we allowed her but then she would pay for it in tummy problems. She has reflux and takes pepcid and pepto for those bouts. Yes I can try to get the Sentinal elsewhere and probably will do that. I just wish they would continue to keep things as they were at the clinic. It has been hard on customers and animals to have lost our wonderful vet and now have to make changes. I was wondering if any one else using the Trifexis has had any problems with it for their dog?...See MoreHow do you give your small dog a bath ?
Comments (7)I use a bowser blaster.. ha ha Sounds like something big and powerful but it is really just a garden sprayer filled with a shampoo and water mixture. I use the ortho dial-n-spray. Works like a dream. And I've found that many dog groomers use the same thing. Unless you're somewhere that is already cold you shoudn't have any trouble with using a hose outdoors. I will probably take my dog in for a bath once or twice this winter but I will never pay for a bath again in the summer when I can hook up my bowser blaster and wash his just as well as the groomer. My dog seems to enjoy the spray too. Obviously, only use a new sprayer and keep it for dog use only....See MoreWhat do you feed your dog ?
Comments (39)Our 4 year old Eskimo eats Fromms Four Star "Salmon A La Veg" and "Duck and Sweet Potato" kibble. Fromms Four Star also makes a Chicken and a Whitefish Kibble - you can alternate the 4 food types due to types of grains used, without getting cannon butt. We live in Canada - Fromms is made in the U.S. so of course we pay too much for it and only a few retailers carry it - although it is showing up in more places now, perhaps because it wasn't on the recall list. He has been on this food since he was 9 months old - until then we are all thinking he might need a digestive enzyme - a smooth operator - but the Fromm's Salmon fixed that - and this past year we expanded to the Duck. Northern breeds like the Eskie seem to do well on Fish based diets. His cookies are also Salmon based. Hard to keep his weight under control and this from somone who managed to keep mini Dachshunds at a reasonable weight - and Dachshunds are the gourmands of gourmets....See Morearkansas girl
