Now I want that one too :) "I have a pot full of them" - did they grow new stems from roots or do you have multiple plants/cuttings in a single pot? Post a picture when you have time :) I read somewhere that they make more/bigger leaves when they are in shade. And they need water to grow foliage. "keep watering to a minimum and they will remain compact" - oh, it's sooo difficult to keep them dry! :) It arrived dry, I just watered it a couple of days ago and watched the top part almost double in size and make more leaves. Damn, this thing is FAST! I like it :) But looking at other pics I get what you mean.. tall skinny sausages.. I wonder - could they be forced to branch somehow?

Big hugs aktillery! My sisters and I hug one another by wrapping our arms around ourselves and blowing one another kisses from across the way. I had to drop things off at their doorsteps and we did our ritual hugs and it did feel better. Perhaps you could take a picture of yourself sending hugs to whoever you wish you could hug. That way you both get something out of it :-).

Jasdip, if it’s not too much trouble, could you please post that recipe? I’ve never tried leeks, but I’m pretty sure I’d love them. My mother would never serve anything other than peas and carrots and my husband of 40 years would shudder at the thought. Same with any onion. I gradually came to understand that the reason he thought he hated onions is because his Mom hated cooking and so chopped the onions, which she and the dad loved, into very large pieces and then didn’t fully cook them. So, I started introducing them into our diet by cutting them into fine dice and buying the milder varieties. He now won’t cook without them! Will even eat them raw on a sandwich.
