Thanks for all of your input Mayflowers! The tile has a bit of a basket weave effect due to its handcrafted nature. The color is "Toast" and we used "Cornsilk" grout and caulk. Our Installer sealed the tile as it has a crackle glaze. We are VERY pleased with the entire Kitchen Renewal Project! Even our pup got an upgraded space with the help of Frontgate.

We are building a new home and would need some guidance on backsplash. Counter top will be White countertop with with cabinets, Rye color shelves and Sage color island. Can you please advise if our current selection looks good or would you recommend anything else? We will have gold hardware and gold faucets. Thank you

The rendering looks like you have yellow and black cabinets, your counters are cement and your floors are pink-beige tile! You really don't want backsplash suggestions with that rendering as a starting point! You can move in and start using your kitchen without a backsplash. For best results, you should wait until all the other elements are installed and then start bringing in tile samples and sample boards to look at in the finished kitchen.

Is the Taj Mahal installed in your kitchen yet? If so, if you post a photo of your kitchen, you will get the best help. We need to see it in your space with the white cabinet color, flooring, wall color, etc… If it isn’t installed yet, wait and then post the photos. You can bring home sample tiles to see in your lighting. When I was searching for my backsplash, I would get a sample tile at the store and think it was going to look great. But once I saw it at home in my lighting, it would look totally different.
