I did a search on your granite since the link took me to a Costco site that I had to enroll in. There were many variations... some very creamy light and others speckly vs. wavy. Does yours look something like this? I tried to match your description. Also... does your tastes run more toward contemporary, traditional, rustic, country... etc. That info would help guide suggestions.

Yes, I love that look but unfortunately my husband doesn't. I could probably talk him into glass tiles that are about the size of subway tiles but he thinks the glass sheets look too modern. I appreciate the suggestion and will keep trying to push him that direction, I mean, no grout on a backsplash, how can you beat that!

I always think the counters should be the star and therefore prefer a simple backsplash of regular tiles in a color that closely matches the counter material. It's a classical look that will always look appropriate.
