I have been looking into this as well. Hancock and Moore seems to be the known industry leader in leather furniture with unbeatable quality. Of course you will pay for that. Other that I have come across are Lee Industries and American Leather, as well as Bradington Young. I have looked at these in a local store and they seem quite well made with very comfortable leather, but I obviously can't speak for their longevity. Personally, I am tossing around the Hancock and Moore if I can stomach the cost (simply because I can't find a bad thing about them) or a Bradington Young if I cannot. Plus in the BY I found a style I really like. Here is a really great resource. Awww on that photo. Lynn, I'm ready for spring, so I can only imaging how all of you in NE feel. Incredible amounts of snow! We thought Punxsutawney Phil must not know anything about Texas weather since we were in the 70s, may have even hit 80, back in early Feb, but it's been colder ever since. I have one peach tree and some calla lilies in bloom and everything else wondering what to do -- grass is still brown and it's been too cold and/or too wet to do much work outdoors. Well I can't help you with a store, but since I'm looking at their website this morning, I'll add the link and you can see a bunch of style choices. I'm double checking my thoughts about a sofa we saw yesterday (DH did a switch on me -- I thought we were going to do a velvet in the LR, but he loves this leather) -- the leather is really nice and down in the cushions. All the cushions can be opened up and refilled if the inserts loose their plump -- addressing one of the worst things about aging leather upholstery. And the woman there is one of the nicest salespeople I've dealt with in a long time. Anyway, I need to make sure the style DH wants works with two chairs I already have, so I'm flipping between photos. And getting side-tracked here. Another vote for American Leather, which has NON leather upholstery options as well. We own two sofas in their Ultrasuede (not to be confused with microfiber) with 3 kids and 3 dogs (only one dog is allowed on the sofa, but another one sneaks up when we're asleep at night). Everything cleans up so easily with a damp sponge and I find Ultrasuede so much more comfortable and warm than leather. Plus, there are more color options. It's been a while since we bought ours, but I'm guessing the price range is about $4000-5000.

Thanks to everyone who commented! I am going to look into your suggestions! As Sabrina Alfin said, we don't own a home right now, so this is part of the reason why we don't want to spend so much on a sofa. I found some interesting ones on CB, RB, and PB but I got nervous after reading some reviews claiming that sofas from these brands became awful after only a year of moderate use (I read a couple of these on houzz). And there's also the feather situation. Anyways, thanks again!
