Front awing help! Replace me it says, but with what?
Comments (14)Thanks Anna, we aren’t exactly sure what we want. I think it depends on the reasonable options - so hoping chatting with the designers will give us ideas to help refine the vision So I can be very clear before we make a decision or draw anything up. i want to improve the look of the house (my main motivation right now) and at min. A space to enter protected away from elements and at best a place to sit and enjoy wine after dinner (we look west and face our neighbours whom are on the water so we get glimpses of a between sunset between their home - but this isn’t a must as we have chairs on grass which works well)....See MoreHELP!!! What would YOU do; Restore or Replace?
Comments (6)Willis, please try again with posting more pics. I see beams above & stone to left so HU-1875 may be right that you should sand and stain But you’ll get more ideas if more of room can be seen. Do you usually have anything sitting on top of this unit? You said @ 16’ long but how tall / high is it? What I’m seeing is a huge white wall with a small TV on it. Which distracts me from looking at the base unit. Is the TV bigger than it looks & do you have any art you plan to hang in that space around TV?...See MoreHelp! What tree should replace this palm?

Comments (1)Show pictures of the rest of the room. In regards to the trim... For the door it depends on the style your after. Personally I think antique French doors would look so nice in your space. But you can also consider a big, slider. I’d do along the whole wall including the area where the windows are. You may be chopping off a foot or so of the house to straighten it out......See Moreladybug A 9a Houston area
