Our Medicare 2022 booklet arrived today -- a reminder that American seniors need to start playing the Medicare Part D Game for prescription drugs. It's such a fun task to see which plan is best for the coming year, given the meds you take. It helps to use the Medicare.gov site to compare plan coverage and costs, but sometimes the pricing is inaccurate this early. It's a rare year that DH and I find the best deal from the plan we've used the prior year.
I see Big Pharma has started TV scare campaigns to fight government regulation of drug prices. AARP has a good counter-campaign FOR the regulation -- a longstanding advantage enjoyed by citizens of almost every other first world nation.
Meanwhile, I can't find the projected cost for Medicare Part B for 2022. Will there be a 5% increase?
