Epic Plus is different than most plywood core engineered hardwood in that the core is called Stabilitek and is an enhanced high-density fiberboard type of core that doesn't use any plywood. The Stabilitek core in Epic Plus is more stable than traditional engineered hardwoods and is more resistant to things such as moisture. In addition, Stabilitek uses less newly harvested wood. Checking, I will get back to you, Whatever flooring you get it may be worthwhile to purchase a box to lay it out and see the color little bit more difficult with a small samples I originally had a different color pIcked and when it delivered they stated that the colors have been darker so they brought a few boxes in and we declined chose another color that we had Purchased a box and when came they were quite a bit more red tone then got these and love love love them These are also a pretty thick engineered floor which would enable you to have more refinishing if you needed

This is what we used on our basement floor and we were thrilled with the product. We have a hyper large dog who scratches the heck out of our real hardwood floors but she hasn’t made a dent in these. Reach out to Oak and Broad. They produce the very product you are looking for. How to purchase will be the tricky bit. What type of in-floor radiant heat are you using? What's the subfloor? Floating, glue down? What type of climate do you live in? What about your home's HUMIDITY control? In-floor radiant heat can be quite drying to wood that is sitting RIGHT ON TOP. That means you will HAVE TO HAVE a humidity control system that adds and/or subtracts humidity at the touch of a button. This will have to be in place before the wood reaches the install site. Good luck. These will be very expensive floors but will be well worth the effort.
