oriental lilies - look awful!
Comments (1)yes, the oriental lilies need much better drainage and aren't as forgiving of excess moisture as the asiatics. While the snow may have kept them evenly frozen over the winter the melting snow could have created an extra wet spring....See MoreDid I get my money's worth?
Comments (2)Blackberry lily is neither a lily nor does it produce a bulb. Belamcanda is an iris relative that produces a fleshy rhizomatous root system. IMO, it's a bit late in the season to be offering bare root perennials, but various mail order sources will do so throughout the year, regardless. As to being "ripped off", a gallon sized belamcanda in full leaf and bud can typically be found at nurseries in my area in midsummer for about a third less than you paid. But if they are scarce in your neck of the woods with local retailers, mail order may be your only source. Personally I hesitate to buy anything mail order because of this.....tiny plants possibly in dubious condition, big prices and high shipping costs but then there are hundreds of great retail nurseries in my area where you can find just about any plant imaginable. This is not the case everywhere else and often mail order is the only solution. But it's a matter of buyer beware. Make sure you have checked out the reliability of unknown or previously unused mail order sources on the Garden Watchdog before ordering....See MoreDWTS....Shocking, shocking, shocking
Comments (39)I, for one, liked the way that Maks was "touchy feely" with Kirstie. Why? Because when a woman is that age and overweight, especially when the woman is famous and used to be stunningly beautiful with a stunningly fabulous body, she would naturally have some issues with feeling a bit out of place or frumpy next to the professional female dancers and the young, thin, and cute celebrity dancers. Kirstie was doing better and better each and every week, and she was also losing weight and inches each and every week. To me, watching Maks be so "loving" towards her, it was like his confirmation to her that she should be proud of herself and her accomplishments and not feel inferior to anyone. It was an affirmation that she is still beautiful and sexy....See MoreI dont get it! What happened?
Comments (16)funny that this thread is still going on. I am so over that guy by now! hahaha...funny how that happens, time heals all. But, to give you an update on the situation, he did call 4 months later, I did agree to go out to dinner with him, we had a good time but no g-bye kiss, just a hug. He said he wanted to be friends, said he wanted to help me with my kitchen faucet. I said ok, fine, I called him a few days later for the help he offered and he blew me off....then writes another email sying how his son was a problem and his dog died! sorry, but i'm laughing my a** off by now! ok, on to the next guy, maybe he'll be better than the last. I'll tell you though, I learned a thing or two from this experience....See MoreRedBird_7a EastTN
