72' vanity with 2 mirrors how many sconces?

Comments (7)Make a scale drawing of your wall set up on graph paper. That way you get to see if the lights overpower the size of the mirror or not. Select something you like to look at. More light is better, IMHO. It is always possible to downsize the wattage and bulb types, but you cannot upsize in any given fixture. In my pre-remodeled bathroom I had 12 globe lights over a 7' vanity. In my post-remodeled bathroom I have 5 on top and sconces on either side, plus recessed ceiling lights. Choosing the type of light bulbs is a whole nother deal. Good luck. What you don't want is shadows, whether you are shaving or applying makeup. -Babka...See MoreHow Many Decorative Mirrors Are Too Many?
Comments (45)I tend to choose mirrors over art. I like the way they play with light in our little cottage and reflect the outside views. I can count art on one hand, but I can't the mirrors! Mustang, your wall reminds me of something we did in our daughter's room. I started with them different finishes, but I ended up painting them all the same shade of white. It bounced the light beautifully. (BTW, I love looking at pics but am scared to death when it comes to sharing. This has always been our "we'll only be here awhile" house, so I've decorated with whatever I can find for pennies instead of what I want. Read: hodgepodge!) In our living room I've actually lost track of how many different mirrors we've used for a little while then moved. That room has great morning light, and I just can't help but fill it with mirrors. This was taken before everything was in the room, but......See MoreHow many cats is too many for one household?
Comments (23)Five was way way too many. This was because two cats were dumped off at me when I already had three. The owners were friends who couldn't move into their new housing with their cats (they were foreclosed out of their house and had to move to an apartment that would work for their autistic daughter - but alas allowed no pets). I wanted to move the cats to a no-kill shelter, but there was a three plus month waiting list. So, I kept them. It was way too many because the first three and the second two did not REMOTELY get along. Ever. I tried everything. Okay, Serenity (my oldest cat at nearly 17.5 years) would, and still does, get along with everyone -- but the other four??? Naw. I had to keep some in the basement, some upstairs. We all hated this. At the moment, I have two cats. Three would be fine at a maximum, but they all have to at least tolerate each other!!!!...See MoreCDR Design, LLC
