Aglaonema occasional yellowing leaves/tips

last modified: 2 years ago

Hi everyone,

I occasionally notice leaves with yellowing tips and/or leaves that turned completely yellow. It's about one leaf a week. The plant as a whole looks healthy (it even bloomed a flower which dried quickly a month ago), and it looks like it's mostly old leaves (this is a guess tho - most yellowing leaves are the bigger ones), but I did find one completely yellow small leaf which seemed "new".

New growth seems to be healthy, although I did find one new unfolded leaf (it's been like this for two~ weeks, is this normal?) which tip seems to be already yellowing (picture below). I cut the yellowing tips so unfortunately no pictures.

I've had it for about 4 months and it's been doing great. It gets (very) low light. The soil is a cactus & succulent mix. I water it every 3~ weeks (when the soil is completely dry all the way down). The pot has a big hole at the bottom and is sitting on a saucer. Is there anything to be concerned of?

Thanks!
