LG Viatera Quartz - Marble wanna-be
Comments (15)I live in Western NC and got the price at the closest HD to us, which is in Georgia. Maybe it's less here because it's close to the manufacturing plant? DH and I were there one day just looking and natural limestone was on special for that price. I was skeptical and asked why - the lady told me it was a new color and they did that from time to time. That was in late January. I made the decision fairly quickly because I was afraid I'd miss the deal but I think it's still going on. The fabricator who measured 2 weeks ago also installs other HD quartz brands and he didn't indicate LG was anymore prone to chipping. We are only paying for the square feet we're using....See MoreAnyone with Viatera Soprano?
Comments (23)I'm also thinking of Soprano for my counters in the kitchen. I ordered the 6x12 and it arrives tomorrow. My lowers are Cherry wood that I bought unfinished and stained a medium Walnut. My Uppers and one whole wall where the fridge is located are all Antique White. I brought the Antique White drawer slab with me at the stone place and saw how nice it looked. I was almost going to order the Minuet, had that in mind for 2 years until last week :) hopefully this is the last major change before the kitchen actually goes in starting 1st week of December...See MoreKitchen reveal - thank you all for your help!
Comments (43)slk7e7, I have never run it on high and likely never will - there is likely nothing wrong with your installation...it just sounds like a jet taking off on high! I knew this going in, but could not find the look I wanted in a quieter hood without paying 3x the money. Since I do not fry, I find the hood totally sufficient on low or med-low to take care of moisture from boiling or sautéing....See MoreHow many got two different color cabs?
Comments (21)Thank you! We finally have the plans and hopefully we will start/be in the middle of it within half a year! We are doing a huge renovation, adding 1,000+ sqft, moving the kitchen into a new location, taking down exterior walls and adding a 2nd story etc...if it was just a kitchen, it would had happened years ago :) Luckily my husband is a very talented GC! I dream and design, and he builds (and advises if my dreams cannot become a reality, ha)! I don't know exactly which counter yet...I want to choose the new flooring 1st, then cabinet colors, then counters based on how everything looks in that light. Yes, not a quick turn around project BUT I will not be without a kitchen for a day as we can do it in stages, and turn current family room into the new kitchen before starting to turn the current kitchen into a laundry/mud room. With 4 kids this should be an interesting journey ;) Hopefully hubby still loves me at the end of it!...See MoreNaomi Q
