Coordinating colors between master bedroom and master bath
Comments (2)This must be a common dilemma. Our master bathroom has china black marble with carrara marble base cap. The walls are painted RL silver candle lite which is a pearl like silver. The cabinets are stained wood as is the window so there's a bit of warmth in the room. The master bedroom is going to be done in jewel tones with a RL gold candle lite ceiling. To help bring cold and warm together I used jewel tone towels in the bathroom....See MoreNeed help with rug for master bedroom
Comments (10)Thanks for the nice comments! It's been very reassuring actually. I love this room. I love it in the late morning sun, the afternoon sun and at night when we leave just one bedside light on -and I walk in and it just feels so serene. But here in the Houston area, most homes that I go into tend to be more dramatically decorated, and I think some people who have seen it have been a bit puzzled. In the Northeast and Calif. where I've lived previously, this is a much more accepted look, I think. Anyway.... ohmygosh, leahcate, you are a genius! I've been wanting to get that table out of the room but my husband is tired of me giving things away or stashing them in the attic so I've felt kind of stuck with it. Never thought of it as a vanity/desk!!! I have a girlfriend here who is brilliant at creating little spaces like that, so I'm going to go at it with her... The chair is not slipcovered, too bad because I agree with you that an aged, tea-stained slightly wrinkly look would be fab. But since I got it off Craigslist for only $50 I don't feel toooooo bad!!!! It's interesting you mention the tan. I've been fighting that because in real life the tan does not really show at all in the tiles, which essentially look gray. So I've been trying to stay with a gray-silver-pale blue scheme. But of course persian rugs have so much tan in them, I keep tripping up on it. Can someone please, please, please point me to a rug that might work?!?!?!...See MoreRug over carpet , color palette for master bedroom
Comments (50)Yes true... expensive is the safer route! i want to take a middle road though.. i m going to call the paint company who have been doing paints in this house for the previous owners .... they did the Venetian plaster so they would know ...they r also not the regular painters but high end :/ expensive ones .. but I will call them anyway to see what they can do about the paint. The window treatment I have looked into and it runs in thousands ... I seriously want to stay away from spending thousands on some plainish window treatment .. i would be happier if I could get away with keeping the curtains and spending the same money on a nice buffet for my dining or an expensive crystal chandelier .. what do you think is there any way I could keep them ? Or maybe go with a cheaper jcpenney type option?...See Morewall color ideas needed for master bedroom, Please help
Comments (36)Ok more info. Go to your ideabooks. Click on one. In upper right corner it says “select” and there are 3 dots ... Click on those dots. A menu will display. Click on “Ideabook settings”. That should bring up screen where you can slide button over to make that ideabook “private”. Then click “done” in upper right corner and you should see lock on ideabook when next displayed. Try it. Let me know if it works for you. There might be other ways but this seemed to work....See MoreSharon Fullen
