How about posting a favorite today? This was given to me by my kids and it works - no break-ins since we put it in the garden.

This bench made by my DH’s uncle, about 70 years ago.

And, this little paper weight given tonme by my dad, probably 50 years ago

Favorite man-made thing in the garden......

My husband made this stainless steel bird bath. The bowl is a boiler door. ♥

The snow pictures are gorgeous BUT, I agree, no snow is better... Living in SW. Pa., we usually get our share but so far this year, it's been great....I also think, one of these days, we're going to get hit and hit hard....That's one reason I'm heading for Florida in a week or so......

To go with the original picture. While in Sydney, Australia we were walking through the large botanical gardens that parallel the downtown area, and in one location I smelled some "fragrance" that reminded of a cats litter box. Looking up I thought maybe it is from those large brown fruit on the trees above me. Then I saw one of the "fruits" stretch its wings, and it became quite apparent why it smelled like a litter box. I decided to leave that area before it started to "sprinkle".

I don't have a lot of photos of favourite things that don't also include a person (and I don't post their photos on the internet), so here is my favourite dog, Lily. I lost her about 10 years ago, to what I suspect was a brain tumour

My Storyteller wreath. Here in New Mexico, our Native American Pueblo tribes have a long history of each tribe’s Storyteller who passes on/teaches their history through songs and chants. Storyteller statues always have children on them. And, the Storyteller’s mouth is always open, like mine is here, telling them yet one more story.

RIP my favorite boys. (one in the chair was mine, and the one on the sill was my DD"s) They have been gone for over 5 years and I miss them every day. Probably doesn't fit here...they

were both "almost" people. LOL
