It’s a friends tree that was planted by the prior owner. Are you unable to identify it?

The photo is from too far a distance and becomes too indistinct when enlarged to be very helpful with ID. Can you take a clear, close up of the leaves? Does it produce any noticeable flowers or fruit/seeds?

One would need a clear closeup picture of a leaf to identify it, or at least, it would help. A blurry picture from a distance doesn't help much. It appears to be a "weeping" something . Cherry ? It seems to have larger leaves than a cherry, but I can't tell for sure. I agree, It's way too close to the house, whatever it is. I have the same problem with a weeping cherry someone planted too close to my house, now it's huge and I'm worried about my foundation.

there are a group of common weeping trees sold by bigbox... that fit the basic shape of this thing.... and if you can show us a clear pic of a leaf.. we cant go much further ...

you are not going to be successful moving it.. imo ... and you arent going to be able to propagate it ... since it is most likely a weeping plant grafted to a non weeping plant ...

These second picture enlarges fairly well. I’m pretty sure it’s a weeping mulberry.

A good close up picture of the leaves would be very helpful. The silhouette looks like weeping mulberry, but neither picture is clear enough to be very sure at all. If you really want to get a good ID get a close up picture of the leaves, buds, and bark on the trunk. You might do a picture search for mulberry leaves and compare. Mulberry trees have a few different, but very distinct leaf shapes and a single tree will have multiple different leaf shapes on it.

Yeah I was able to zoom in on the picture a little and I do see various leaf shapes. It's still too distant to be 100% sure but from what I tell on a zoom it does look like mulberry leaves. Which if that's accurate it's definitely too close to the house and the powerline.

A male weeping mulberry will eventually get as tall as the power-line appears to be in that picture. I think they can top out at around 15 ft. I had a large one near my house and I was finding yellow mulberry roots coming up in the crawlspace. I also found one mulberry root about 20ft from the tree when I was planting hostas beside the house. I've noticed sometimes people plant these weeping mulberries close to the house not realizing how big they get, especially the roots. Weeping mulberry is grafted and the root system is a full size white mulberry.
