New hallway and stair runner finally!
Comments (20)Wow, newhomebuilder, thankyou! I love your home and mine can't even compare to yours. I actually posted a photo of the outside recently..something tiled "need help with exterior trim" I think if you click on the photo above it will bring you to my photobucket photos. It was a dump when we bought it and my husband re-did everything..kitchen, 4 baths, porches, basement apt. for my mom. It's hard when you try to redecorate with what you have. Change one thing, and it throws off everything else. It's like the domino effect! I am trying to do the best with as little money as possible. I finally got rid of the old owner's navy blue with rose colored flower runner. It was hideous and went with nothing, but my daughter's upcoming wedding was a good excuse to talk my husband into getting rid of it....See Moreneed advice on hallway runner
Comments (0)Seeking vendor recommendations for a custom runner. We moved into a new house and have a very long hallway from the front door to the coat closet and mudroom. With a young child and two dogs, I want to get a long runner that will extend the length of that so we can walk around easily between the front door, mudroom, and closet. (We're a shoes off house but we are also distracted humans which means someone is always forgetting something and needing to dart back to the closet or mudroom.) I'm thinking it will need to be custom (22' long x 4' wide). I DON'T want it slipping around all over the place. And I'd rather not use tacks or adhesive on our new floors if I can avoid it. Does anyone have suggestions??? In terms of design, we like simple and natural. Thank you in advance!...See MoreEntryway Rug, Runner & Stair Runner help
Comments (14)Thank you @everdebz! I’m new to the site so haven’t added any idea boards yet. I am actually going for a brighter look. Mix of contemporary/French/farmhouse. We will be renovating that living room you see from the foyer and it will have hardwood floors. We are not renovating the foyer but would like to tie in these styles. Kitchen and mud room on the side of the house will have these color schemes:...See MoreI need advice on what color to do my stairs/upstairs hallway.
Comments (3)I see you’re not getting much response here so I’ll jump in. I feel that the gray/black vinyl floor trend is out of favor now, but obviously since you already have it (and like it) you should choose something to blend with those colors. Is there another option you might consider, besides more vinyl plank? A deep gray carpet maybe?...See Moretozmo1
