Pick one piece to keep and sell the rest. Think about how much those that buy a piece will enjoy owning and repairing their purchase. Also, you have a much better chance of selling them as individual pieces.

I know it's hard to part with memories but you could take photos of each piece and then let them go.

I agree with Raye Smith that those pieces of furniture should be in the hands of someone who can repair them and bring them back to life. I would make sure to sell them only to someone who actually will do that and has the experise, in your grandmother´s sake.

Thank you Raye Smith, yayagal and mmartinlozano. Hopefully I can find someone to bring these pieces back to life, it's definitely something I would like to do. I would love to keep the nightstand, but the rest I should be able to let go of. It's just hard ( and emotional!). And I have had some difficulty finding someone interested in antiques such as these. I guess when the time is right, it will happen.

You might check and see if there is an antique store or resale store that takes consignments. That would be the easiest way to sell those pieces.

The bed and the armoire are fabulous. The dresser needs major rehab. The market for old, broken furniture is not great.

As far as I can see, the everything visible about the bed is fine. You can strengthen it by nailing additional wood to the bottom. We beefed up the support of one of our beds. If you look under the bed, you can see the pale pine additions to the dark wood frame. But who crawls under the bed to look at the framing?

You own a complete walnut Eastlake (1890) bedroom set. I suggest you google and see the values. If you love the set, restoring it is well worth the money. (Do not change the mirrors...you want authentic).
