IMO first address your lighting if you use LEDs 4000K the colors will look basically the same at any time of the day . I see no reason to not use the same trim coor everywhere so not sure what you are asking. i like apure white trim with almost anything. White Heron has purple/ pink undertone so make sure that is something you will like.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - thank you! I tried to look for the 4000k LED lights, but can't seem to find it . I was only able to find 2700, 3000, and 5000k (daylight- which was very cold). Does it matter if my lights are not centered? I have three lights in the room one on the wall, one dangling in front of the window (don't know why the previous owner had it there), and one towards the left-middle. For reference, the living room is only 13x19".

I wanted to give the room an ever-so-tiny pop of color/warmth - so I was looking at pale colors that were not too saturated, more of a very very pale greige-white. Do you have any recommendations in the Benjamin Moore/Sherwin/Behr family - for something that would pair well with the stark white trim I have?

I was looking at:

Behr: Shoelace; Weather White

BM: Glacier White (aka Dune White?), Dove Wing

SW: Origami White.

I tried SW's Aesthetic White but it was too saturated for me- the gray was very strong. I would also like to avoid the purple/pink undertone so I think I will avoid White Heron- thank you for letting me know!! I'm terrible at detecting undertones.

I found SW White Heron color mixed as Benjamin Moore paint to be my go-to for all ceilings, trim, and some walls throughout my entire house. I never realized until now that my fixed decor is yellow/green/white/cherry-tone woods.

I was initally drawn to the name because we live along a creek with herons and egrets : ) It really just right.

@Marylee H Thank you so much for taking your time to break down interpretation of the colorgraphy chart. I understand a bit better all the different variables of the color choices.

Is there are "favorable" set of objective measurements for west-facing rooms? I find that my colors tend to look more gray/blue/dingy in my living room even with the 4000k led lights (which I was finally able to find). I would like to add some warmth without going too yellow.

Previously, I made the mistake of pairing Behr's Pebble Cream with Ultra Pair White trims - the mix of warm and cool(?) was a mess and enhanced the overall yellowness. Yet colors like SW's Aesthetic White looked too grey and too much "chroma" - when paired with Ultra Pure White trims, and BM's Glacier White and White Dove looked too dingy.

It has been very difficult trying to find a neutral off-white color that is not too yellow without going too dingy (too much gray?) Should I go towards the Y of the Hue? Looking now at Benjamin Moore: Soft Chamois, Cloud White, Gentle Cream, Navajo White (BM, not SW) .

She used SW's Aesthetic White- it looks more like it's on the warm/beige side of greige on her walls, and too grey/dingy on my actual walls.
