If you are going to do white I would go the same white as the walls. I really like using a Pure or ultra white like you have already done with your walls. It looks very bright and crisp. Love your floors! Once you have everything white you might want to add a pop of color to the one wall around your window??

I thought about just doing the cabinets in pure white as well but I every picture I see there seems to be some contrast between the wall color and cabinets so I was unsure of how it would look. I am also looking for ideas for the wall with the window. I feel like I need to add color in some where but if the granite has some gray tones to it then it might be enough. I just want a clean classic kitchen with a little bit of a rustic feel to it.

We are getting this quotes this weekend on the cabinets. I'm still so torn on what color to paint the cabinets. If the walls and cabinets are SW Pure White will that look ok? Should I go for a creamier white on the cabinets to contrast with the pure white on the walls?

If the finish on your cabinets is in excellent shape, I would NOT paint over them. You will be destined to get another bid in several years. If you are going to paint them no matter what....than choose a hue that is in your floors...I guess the lightest shade in your floors? or maybe one just a hue bit darker..... Either Lotus Petal, Toasted Marshmallow, or Steel Me-- all by Glidden MIGHT be close to that shade in your floors. Do you think if everything is SW pure white with subway tile backsplah, black counter tops would off set the white and I would get a look similar to this? thoughts?

Yes a pure white kitchen is classic timeless and very clean looking. You can add some pops of color it you want it with the décor pieces. Personally I have never like "off white" paints. They just don't have that bright fresh look of a pure white. I think the two pictures you just posted are a great inspiration for your kitchen!

If you drape a white pillow case or towel over a lower and upper door, than take any scraps of woodfloor you might have and lay them on the counter....or experiment with various colors of linens you have on the counter, that might? give you a hint of what is pleasing to you? It's just a thought....

A painter suggested antique white to pick up the color in the floor. How do you think antique white would look against pure white walls?

I think it will look dingy compared to the pure white walls, like you could not get the whites to match. I would not worry about picking up a color from your floors.

So another question, when we do the backsplash should it go all the way up the wall around the arch around the sink? Or...do we leave the arch blank?

Leave arch, go with the same height as under cabinets.

Yes, only take the backsplash to the bottom of the upper cabinets. Do you have under cabinet lights? If you don't they are very cheap and easy to put in and they would add nicely to the look and lighting in your space.

We have decided to get countertops first! However, what do you guys think about SW Pure White Walls with BM Paper White cabinets? Will it be tacky, is it enough contrast to look good together or should we stick with everything being Pure White.

I have a lot of great pictures with the same white on everything; cabinets, walls, trim, ceiling. They look great. My dilemma is what white to use on the drywall (will use same on trim and ceiling) when the cabinets are a very bright white. The builder offers Pure White and Extra White and neither really matches the cabinets. What did you end up doing.....

The walls are way easier to repaint than your cabinets! Way easier to change than your countertops.  I'd land on those and then worry about the walls.
