Sorry, it's Angel Face. This rose drives me nuts. It was one I inherited from my mom so it has sentimental value but the dang thing is the worst black spot magnet in the bed. I don't know how it survives every winter because it spends half the season defoliated. But with all the loses I took this year this ones doing great. It's leafed out all over. I'd shovel prune it but mom loved it and I'm afraid she haunt me if I do lol. The blooms are lovely and the scent is fabulous, of course, so I guess I'll hang on to it.

You might look on your hard drive for Programs/Windows Media... Encoder. Or search your drive for WMenc.exe Many PC's come with it. I'm pretty sure its a free download-able. Pretty easy program actually once you fiddle with it for an eternity. You can really get into things with it. Here is a link that might be useful: MS WM Encoder

You're welcome, owbist. I'm thankful I was able to contribute something to the forum. The Cnet tutorials are amazing. I didn't know about them until last night. Unfortunately, I've run into quite a snag with Vista. I made sure Audacity would work with Vista before purchasing a laptop. However, today I've discovered that there's no external sound card with a dedicated line in port that's compatible with Vista... Even spoke with Creative Labs. The first man told me their new sound card is available from Dell with a line in port. (It will be widely available after the 15th.) At Dell's site I found that it's an optical in only for a mic which won't work for me. Called Creative Labs and spoke with another man. He confirmed that they do not have a card with a line in port as yet compatible with Vista. He told me to get a laptop with XP! sigh.... abreeze

Hmmm, Could it be that you still have the tool selected and just don't realize it? For example, I select the paintbrush tool and do some painting on my butterfly image, then I go up to the menu at top (the mouse cursor will change to an arrow) and open another image to copy something from it into the butterfly image I'm working on. When I go back into the project work area (big space where my butterfly image is) I will still have the paintbrush tool selected unless I choose a different tool from the tool box. I can have a tool selected and with my mouse go to a window or the menu at top and the mouse cursor will change from whatever tool I have selected to an arrow. However when I go back to my project area the mouse cursor will change back to show the tool I have currently selected.
