Thought I was going to choke to death tonight

Took my exchange students out to a sushi place. I had a rainbow roll and the first piece I put the entire thing in my mouth because if you don't it's more messy. Well, somehow the piece of salmon got stuck in my throat before I could chew it. I've been eating sushi all my life and this is the first time anything like this has happened. I really thought that was it. I managed to spit out the rice/seaweed part into my napkin but took another million years it seemed to swallow the salmon all the way down.

It was pretty terrifying. The rest of the sushi was eaten messily in pieces. Fish first, then half of the rest of the rice/seaweed portion.

For the past 5 or 6 months sometimes when I'm laying in bed, trying to sleep it will feel like I can't swallow my saliva. It's only happened maybe 3 times. It's not a good feeling. I had it happen when I was having my daughter and they overdosed me on the epidural meds. I've also had a weird on again off again sore throat. I thought it was just related to allergies but now I'm worried. Have a history of Barrett's, although, my last EGD showed no signs of it. I also found out last week that I'm still anemic and my doctor wants to run more tests to find out why. I think I need another EGD.

My appointment isn't until the Monday after next.
