Hi gemini~ We have had our Dover Woods frameless cabinets for almost a year. We chose a painted-glaze finish, I'm pretty sure the color is called Cavendish Sand with a Cappacuino glaze. I'm not familiar with the other cabinet lines you mentioned, but we looked at several and chose the Dover line because of the quality of the finish as well as the construction. We upgraded the cabinet boxes to the thickest plywood they offered (I think it was 5/8ths). We live in New England in an older cape/farmhouse with red oak floors in the kitchen. The glaze really picks up the tones of the floor and fits the style of our home. When the cabinets were delivered there were several issues, mostly relating to the glazing. I think our job was done on a Monday morning, by someone with a hang over, because the glazing job was full of lint and dust. I give Dover Woods an A+ for customer service, the factory rep came to our home and new doors came our way very quickly. The replacements were great. I have had over-lay and fitted cabinets in other kitchens so this is my first experience with frameless cabs and I love them! The fitted cabinets have a high end look but there seemed to me to be a lot of wasted space. Having access to the entire cabinet box is a real plus and we've had no racking issues. The hinges are easy to adjust and to my eye, frame less cabinets are a clean, lean look. The finish has stood up very well to a lot of livingz; they basically wipe clean. I'd post a picture but I'm on a dial-up connection and it takes for ever to get even one picture downloaded. Thanks Buehl. I appreciate you chiming in. I believe I had seen your comments on Omega/Dynasty before, which were among the reasons I sought them out to consider them. I have to say though, that after I posted yesterday my father and I went to check out CWP and Omega again. My dad, who is a retired boat carpenter (specializing in interior finish work), was not thrilled by the finishes on the sample doors in the showroom, especially on the painted doors, which caused me concern. Conversely, he thought the CWP finish was good. Unfortunately the Candlelight and Tedd Wood locations near me aren't open on Saturdays so he couldn't see those. At this point, I am leaning towards Candlelight, especially because they have the door style I like with square corners vs. mitered ones, so I'll be heading back to the showrooms to scrutinize them. Based on some other recent reviews I've seen, I'm beginning to wonder if something has changed at Omega/Dynasty since yours were installed (and others I've seen positive reviews for). It's so hard to tell! I'm glad you are happy with yours though and that they've held up well. It's such a big decision and investment, that any time I hear "they look as good as when they were installed" it makes me thrilled for that buyer. I'm hoping that whatever I choose, I'll be one of those people in a few years! Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

I have RD Henry cabinets being installed hopefully at the end of the month. I couldn't find many reviews around here for them, but when I purchased them they had a whole order in the back for me to look at. They were beautiful and appeared to be very well made. Mine are dark stained hickory.

My daughters kitchen is about ten years old and it looks great, she has Candlelight Cabinets. When I did my kitchen remodel two years ago I went to a distributor that sold them. The kitchen designer was excellent and every vendor that worked on my kitchen commented on how nice the cabinets are. My contractor said it was the first time he had every cabinet come out of the box fully square and the paint finish was perfect. Two years later, they look the same as when they were installed, I highly recommend them.
