Lawn mixture for Eastern Washington

I'm in the midst of prepping to plant a new lawn (roughly 1 acre). My plan is the following:

  1. Clear the area: pulling out random shrubs planted by the previous owner that make no sense
  2. Kill the existing lawn
  3. Till the area
  4. Water and spray whatever comes up (do this a few times)
  5. Seed new grass

I'm currently on (1), but I'm ready for the rest except for (5): I have gone down a bit of a rabbit hole regarding grass research. A friend of mine has an all RPR (by Barenbrug) lawn that I quite like, but I'm a little nervous going all in on that one and not mixing with KBG to hedge my bets. I wanted to reach out to this community to see what folks thought for my geographical area. I want a lawn that holds up to abuse (I have very active children) while also looking as nice and dark as possible. I live in the Pacific Northwest, but on the drier Eastern side of Washington, zone 7a. It got up to 113 here this year, and generally gets down to single digits.

Any advice is appreciated!
