I'm not a fan of any of those options...for various reasons. Mostly because the style/scale as well as the tone doesn't look like it would compliment the bed.....although without links hard to know. The Bernhardt nightstands in your pic from Haverty's are 40 W x30 H x21 D. That is why they don't look dwarfed by the bed. Do you have room to do something like the pic Penny posted? Basically a simple open rectangle with a sturdy leg? Another thing I'd consider is taking a look at kids' dressers/desks. you have a great start to your bedroom. I saw your ideabook and it looks like you like white bedding with some unique trim. I would start there plus two table lamps for your side tables. it looks like you have a queen size bed. I would say you need two regular size pillows. two euro size and then one accent pillow. euros go against the headboard, then the 2 standard and then the accent pillow, like a 20x20 size. Is your bed placed opposite the entry door? Curtains need more panels and to extend past the window frame onto the walls and past the headboard. I think you need new bedding. You should strip the room of everything except the furniture and post pix of all four walls. New bedding and curtains will set the "relaxing and welcoming" tone. Picture this bedroom's style in yours. Here the cream bedding and headboard set the tone. You can do the same with the color of your headboard. See how full the curtains are; they open and close and are still gathered. See how high they're hung in both rooms.

I want to update this master bedroom to reflect a softer, cozier “lighter” space. Thoughts about colors? The furniture is in great shape but the color is too dark- I want to try painting it but I’m just not sure on color. The lamps have to go- replace with sconces? I will also replace the headboard and bench. I saw the wallpaper in the last photo and that inspired me to think cream/gold but need some more ideas. Thanks in advance!
