I would get curtain panels that are wider than your headboard. You need table lamps. The picture frames on the headboard wall are way to small, try to find something larger. Are you able to install the tv on the wall?

Is your bed placed opposite the entry door? Curtains need more panels and to extend past the window frame onto the walls and past the headboard. I think you need new bedding. You should strip the room of everything except the furniture and post pix of all four walls. New bedding and curtains will set the "relaxing and welcoming" tone. Picture this bedroom's style in yours. Here the cream bedding and headboard set the tone. You can do the same with the color of your headboard.

I totally agree - drapes need to be wider than the headboard. Hopefully, that isn’t the only window in the room? If that is the sill I see peeking out, it looks small and high? I would even consider taking drapes across the whole wall, but in a lighter color or light airy print. No reason that you need a wrapped-end pole, as it doesn’t appear there is a doorway or any way to view any gap there? I also wouldn’t do shirred pole style drapes as you have now. Also agree that the wall prints are way too small, and you do need bedside lighting.
