Exterior Paint Design Dilemma

Exterior paint suggestions please

Hi All- here is a picture of a friend’s home. He is elderly and recently moved to memory care. The house has not been cared for in years and a company is about to remodel the interior. The goal is to rent the home.

As for the exterior, there’s little funds leftover for an exterior remodel. At this time we are thinking of mostly paint to freshen the house and lighter colors would help to brighten this home.

Any markups or suggestions?

Beautiful house. The new windows are quite white. I'd choose new white paint that is almost but not quite as bright white as the new windows to repaint the stucco. The same brown color you have now on the wood trim would be an excellent choice again.

Have the company trim the shrubs so that their tops are a foot below the window sills and a foot away from the walls. The plants need air to circulate and the painters need room to move.

Pretty house. I would refresh exterior with medium dark trim and light body.

For the siding, what about a soft warm gray from your stone? I don't think it is bad as is and like the yellow door. Not sure it's worth the expense of having it painted to sell.

I hope you meant to say restain the siding and not paint. Paint will peel. If you have no peeling and the color has simply faded, then you are looking for a new stain color. Duckback produces a very good stain.

I would go with a lighter brown on the trim and a light tan on the siding.

I like it the way it is, but I would update the light fixtures and trim the hedges down a bit.
