As for me everything seems fine except granite.

That’s what I was wondering.. I just look at it all together and something seemed off. I may go scratch that selection and look in to one they have called Valhalla. It was much warmer than Lennon. Thank you!

I do think that the granite is a poor fit, though photography can misrepresent colors, so it's hard to say for sure. I looked at photos of Valhalla; it looks more promising.

Went to the granite place and picked a warmer selection.. Valhalla.. the small piece is a sample the larger one is the slab we reserved.. thank heavens we are early enough in the process to change our minds 😬

To my eye, the new choice is much better. It looks like you will have a beautiful kitchen!

Did you take a sample of your white cabinet to the stone yard? Look at it in both artificial inside light and natural outside light. Don't be afraid to ask that they move one of the slabs outside so you can see it in natural light.

That is your main issues. Making sure the white for the cabinets looks good with the white in the granite. You don't want to end up with a cool/blue granite and a warm/yellow cabinet. Your first photos were looking very blue and yellow.

Yea, we didn’t get a sample from the cabinet place so we will be taking a sample of granite to them to ensure they go well together. I feel like the stain on the cabinets takes on a warmer tone so switching to a warmer granite is going to look loads better.

Make sure you get a sample from the cabinet place ... it is the only way to confirm that what gets installed is the same as what you ordered!

In my opinion, I totally disagree with mixing warm and cool anything. Stick to warm OR cool colors in the space.

Chispa summed it up -- don't mix warm and cool whites.

Based on your photos, the Valhalla is a lovely choice but best to check and double-check against the cabinets. Are you able to take a sample of the cabinet to the stoneyard? That would be preferable to the other way around, especially a small sample piece of granite -- sample granite pieces can look a lot different than the slab, it's one small piece of a very large slabs, and slabs can very, sometimes greatly.

Where is the patterned tile going to go? Nowhere close to the granite, I hope!

I was going to mention the same with the patterned tile. Is that backsplash? If so, I wonder if it won't compete with the granite. One bold star in the kitchen is better, not two.

Not quite what you've pictured, but SIL has a dockside entertainment area with full (and high end) kitchen. Greenish granite, detailed cabinets with some antiquing where she had tried to give nod to it having been a vintage building on the dock, some leaded glass in the upper cabs, and a detailed tile piece behind the gas cooktop that is a custom version of the family crest. There is no where for the eye to land and focus, a very busy room that somehow misses being tasteful. (ask me to repeat that in her presence and I will lie)

We have yet to pick the backsplash.. the other things in the pictures go to other rooms in the house. (Bathrooms, laundry, etc) I knew when we had decided to go with granite I was going to do the most simple back splash I could find. I am definitely not doing a pattern with it. I figured that would be a disaster lol..

And as for the winter gold light, we picked that out from “Kansas lighting” it is who our builder contracts through. I got on their website to see if it’s posted on there and it is not. We have a follow up appt next weekend and I will get the name of it!
