stain color help

Just finishing studio shed for wife. Could use some help in choosing stain color for the cedar siding. Was going to go with Sico ProLuxe Log and Siding stain in butternut but there is a production issue and there is non available.

Any suggestions??

Leave it, it’s gorgeous. Put a sealer on it and don’t do too much more (other than planting flowers around it) 😉

What a cute house!!! My first thought would be to try to relocate the steps to come straight out into the front yard if possible so you can see the front door. I like the color of the house. Maybe lose the shutters since they are not on every window. Landscaping and maybe some flower boxes over the porch railing? Beefy box the posts.

Your samples aren't anywhere close, as you obviously realize. I don't know if you can take a flake or sample of that to a custom place and have them match it or not. Maybe a floor specialist will see this and know what to suggest. It almost looks to me that the existing floor is more of a paint than a stain.

I actually love sunrooms with painted ceilings in a pretty sky blue but I need to see your house to get a feel for your style so maybe post pics of the interior and also of the choices you have made already. BTW wall color should be the last choice.

Beautiful space! I second leaving the color as is and just sealing it. An oil-based sealant might give you that warm tone you are looking for.

Ditto. Find the right sealer and let it be natural. If your wife nixes this, let us know so we can help find a color. But right now, it is beautiful.

Any sealer that has resin will turn that cedar orange or yellow. Be very careful what you select. https://www.superdeck.com/product/semi-transparent-stain-waterborne-2400/
