I have sort of the same thing but without the curve. Just a straight line down then cut at a 45 degree angle to the wall. If you think that might look a little *off*, then perhaps you could either take it straight from the wall down (past the curve) and finish with an L to the other wall. Or - take it from the end of the cabinet to the wall. I can tell from your tiles that that almost lines up exactly. Except I'm not sure if that would cut off your kitchen area too much. Play around with a large measuring stick or two.

Hello Jayne, What a fun space! Here are a few of my thoughts: For the dining space, I would stick with a small, rectangular table. Because you have a doorway to the porch near the dining area and you want room to walk around easily, I would aim for something not larger than 60" long by 36" wide, but you can double check that in the space. As for the seating area, if you want to maximize seating, I might aim for a couch with one or two chairs along the wall with the window. I notice when I have guests, everyone chooses a chair. Not everyone wants to snuggle up next to someone they don't know very well on a sectional. It is also easier to rearrange if you decide to change up the layout. If you want to have even more options for seating, it might also be nice to do one or more ottomans that are cushioned and could be used for feet or as additional seating for guests. They could be grouped together or spread out when being used. If you ended up replacing your coffee table with a/an ottoman/s, you may want to also add end tables so there is a place to set drinks, remotes, or lamps, if desired. For an entertainment center, I would potentially choose something a bit more narrow to make sure it wasn't in the walkway, For instance, this entertainment center is 14" D so it is the same as the depth change in the wall so it could be flush. I can be clumsy and prefer to have things tucked away or I run into them! Then I would add a rug, some lamps, and maybe a great mirror over the fireplace to make it look bigger and brighter! Yes Pink Peony, I know I asked for suggestions and loved all of yours!!! Eventually, I would love to work towards implementing a lot of what you suggested! But, on my budget I need to take baby steps. I ask for ideas to see my final ‘dream room’ and then keep the concept in mind so that anything I do stays in the direction of that goal. I do LOVE that colour scheme but, for now, I might just have to work with the furniture placement and perhaps buying ivory colour chairs to start. Then, later I can ‘toss’ the love seat from the window and replace with comfy chairs and perhaps then change the wall colour in the dining room and switch up the coffee table and wall art to match. Chalk paint might me a great idea for my existing side table cuz it really is a nice (antique!) table!

Hi Jenn, What a lovely home! The woodwork and mouldings are charming. As are the pieces you've chosen and arranged. I agree that "falling onto" the living room furniture can be disconcerting. Personally, I like your idea to leave the TV and seating where it is and move the dining table (or a smaller version) into the front area. I would snuggle the shorter side of the table up near the radiator and just have chairs along the longer edges. It could function more like a desk, library table, or entry table when it's not in the center of the room. Depending on how hot your radiator gets, you might be able to have a desk lamp at the end. You could pull the table out into the center of the room when you host larger dinners. Also, moving the dining table to the front of the house is probably the easiest arrangement try out. If you don't like it, you can always move on the the option you sketched up! I hope that helps! Best of luck. Doug
