Which lay out would you prefer? Refrigerator, oven, speed oven sharing a wall or appliances separate?

1st plan. If you can....try for the pantry with a single door....18 in wide presume you have rollouts inside. you need to convert the majority if not all the base cabs to drawers. that is not indicated. work on that.

The island doesn't have space to be an island - it's hard to tell without a full set of measurements, but look at the space you have between the island the cooktop (1210mm or nearly 4') then look at the space between the corner of the island and the fridge - it's less than half that. Granted 4' might be a bit on the too large side given the over size of the house, but <2' (0.6 meters) isn't enough room to work with. There's a post called [New to Kitchens[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/new-to-kitchens-read-me-first-dsvw-vd~5500754) that has lots of helpful info and also tips on how and what to post here to get the best help - like a full set of measurements for the space. It's good to know Wall A is a pain in the butt and cannot be moved, but we need more info =) Also as drawn, the island isn't really conducive to stools as it doesn't appear to have an overhang countertop - it's fine to have a non-seating island - you still get benefits of the countertop and you have your dining room right nearby!

I would take emilyam's advice, and use a side-loading pantry: Then use the open shelving on the wall where the fridge is now located. Have the upper cabinets on the range wall die into the window wall instead of turning the corner. And use all drawers in the bases. Are you planning on adding a peninsula where the table is now?

Eric- Ditch the kitchen table and put in a table level island adjacent/connected to the island you show. Make the whole thing a two-level L-shape or T-shape, and move the location of the main island a bit. You'll gain space and have a much more functional and expanded use of your counters. It might even give you more options with the refrigerator location. ;-)

Not sure what you went with. I would remove rounded arches…square them off. It looks more modern. Then consider a u shape instead of galley if you can

I never like having to cross in front of the stove to get from the fridge to the sink and I also never design sinks directly across from a stove . So neither IMO. True pullout pantries are always better than drawers behind doors that idea just adds to much effort to get stuff out of the . pantry All those base cabinets should be drawers and the ones on the sides of the range should be wide and deep enough to hold all your pots and pans with shallower drawers on top to hold all your gadgets. I am wondering if a cabinet salesperson is designing this kitchen and if so you need to get a proper KD

I like the first one best, but I'd put tall pantry cabinets on both sides of the fridge. And the little cabinet in the corner is throwing me off. I might orient the base the other way, and put shelves up top instead of an upper cabinet because it's a quirky little spot. Make it distinctly different so it looks deliberate.
