First you do not test colors on the wall since any color on the wall will affect the color. Get poster board paint it with 2 coats of a tester then move it around to see how it looks in all the spaces your lighting should be LED 4000K to make this the same everywhere. Waht is in the space ? Everyhing in a space affects color so maybe post some pica of the space .

Our whole house is a construction zone at the moment so it’s kind of hard to tell. It’s a split level and we’re doing the foyer area, living room, dining space and kitchen as it’s all one space. The light fixtures and carpet are being changed out as well. Will 4000K lights make the paint color look even more cool?

The main light comes from a big window in the living room area (comes from the east) and on the opposite wall, there’s a sliding glass door (west light)

I see the blue undertones too. But I love it! I think it would look very pretty.

As Patricia said it’s very difficult to test drive a color when it’s on the wall like that. What you’re saying is the contrast between the new color versus the background color. The more you paint the new color on and it gets rid of the background color, the less blue you will see. In my 22 years in business we’ve painted thousands of rooms and have seen this many times. The way I usually handle this with my clients is tell them we’re going to continue on with the first coat. After they see the room entirely coated in that color if they don’t like it, we can tweak it a little bit for the second coat. Even when the cans of paint say one coat coverage, you should plan on two coats.
