Help with sherwin williams exterior white
Comments (3)Hi, Did you use SW 6252 Ice Cube for your exterior house color? We are considering this because I prefer the faintest grey tint over Alabaster having the cream tint. I would be interested in seeing an image of your exterior if you did. Thanks!...See MoreComparable Benjamin Moore Whites to Sherwin Williams?
Comments (11)I had saved this listing of BM SW equivalents. It does actually list SW 7757 High Reflective White as being a good match to Chantilly Lace as Anita posted above. I also just sometimes google SW equivalent with the paint name and depending on which one, it can be helpful to see prospective matches. I am not certain if I remember properly but I think BM Simply White does not have a close enough match, but this list also lists what Anita showed above, Pure White. FWIW I used Pure White for my trim Anyway here is one listing.BM to SW Kelly Bernier Listing...See MoreSherwin William Extra white Or Purewhite
Comments (5)Hi - using one colour of white in different sheens is a way of simplifying and uniting a space. I would certainly test any of your shortlist choices on either large boards or Swatch-Right (paint-peel-stick decals), not directly on to the walls. This way you will have flexibility to move your samples around the space and view on different walls. I would be looking to see if your light is abundant enough to bring the white to life. As with all near neutrals, whites are far more affected by the changing quality of light which hits its surface. In some more dimly lit rooms, one may need a more colourful (higher Chroma) white than imagined, in order for it not to look permanently shadowy. So you are trying to find the best white to partner the light available. If you have abundant light, Extra White will appear the more crisp and more neutral of the two, as it has the lowest Chroma. Also note that the same colour on the ceiling can look somewhat darker and more greyed than the same colour on the walls. If partnering 2 colours of whites or off-whites, a guide is you are looking for a minimum difference of 0.2 in Chroma, in order they will look fresh next to one another. 🌈...See MoreWhite cellular shades closest in color to Sherwin Williams Pure White
Comments (13)Jan Moyer, as I'm scrolling through various threads on cellular shades, I've seen several comments from you, basically making people feel bad for considering cellular shades. The reality is that many folks PREFER cellular shades for a number of reasons. I personally cannot WAIT to ditch the wooden Roman shades over the kitchen window of my new home, as well as the wood blinds in the office space, replacing both with top down bottom up shades. I also don't like heavy drapery, have no use for sheers, and have some windows where shades are simply the best choice. It's great that you come here to help people, but maybe just answering their question without the implied judgement would be better received. As a pro, you should know that....See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
