Help me decorate my spaces (condo) tried to capture every space !
Comments (6)Ok, that is a very blanket question, are you purely asking for decor advice or are we taking on a major budget and real $$ changes? 1. what is with the white crown trip around the exhaust pipe for the vent hood? 2. a counter depth fridge would help 3. the backsplash is dated the counters are fresh Dining 1. put the table in the center of the room and remove the table cloth 2. center the globe art piece to the wall and lower, in fact, all your pictures need to be much much lower, and the smaller ones need to be grouped together more collage style. master bath 1. replace the counter and faucet 2. paint the cabinets and add hardware 3. frame the mirror 4. tile the floor ( carpet and water dont mix) living room 1. lower the artwork 2. declutter the top of the tv console a bit 3. a round coffee table would help you a lot, possibly even two nesting tables that are small and could be pulled out to use. master bed 1. add some curtains to the windows to soften 2. add some storage like an ottoman at the end of the bed to put the 'junk" in. 3. lower and group photos and art. So far you on track, I like your living room and your art pieces. The new shower doors are pretty!...See MoreNeed Help with Shutters and Sprucing Up Exterior of Tri-Level House
Comments (16)Thank you everyone for your comments! Some things I hadn't even thought of! This house had absolutely no curb appeal when we bought it and we don't like the muted "blah" colors. I'm also not a fan of shutters, but every single house in our neighborhood has them. It wasn't until we went inside the house that we absolutely loved it. We knew we had to do something with the exterior, just didn't know what. Eventually we'd like to paint all the siding and brick, but for this year just looking to change some minor things like shutters, replace columns, front door, landscaping, etc. So many great ideas; this is a great starting point for us to tackle this Spring. Thank you again!...See MorePlease help me decorate my odd empty space!
Comments (23)A safe bet for seating is a 3-seat sofa and two upholstered armchairs. Chairs can be swivels if they need to turn to TV for watching. Don't corner any furniture; it just eats up floor space and makes it look like you don't have room for your stuff when you actually do. Looks like your lighting needs upgrading from builder's basic to beautiful....See MoreNeed Help Decorating My Flagstone Landing & Steps For My Rear Patio

You might consider an awning over your patio door. https://www.ebay.com/itm/40-x-80-Door-Window-Canopy-Patio-Awning-DIY-Overhead-Door-Clear-Decorator-/192387040987 Especially like the materials you used for the steps and landing/patio as well as including the fountain/bird bath but do take care not to decorate to the point of adding clutter your space. Potted plants flanking your door could add a welcome vibe. You might add other plants and/or wind chimes with posts that can be mobile: a wide holiday tree stand can also hold a4"x4"x6' post for hanging brackets and solar lights to be put where you want them when you want them. Since you have multiple sections in the southern sun, you might consider which one you could add the shade of a pergola over it (or gazebo by it) without blocking the sunlight to the other sections (likely the western most area) and decide if a small pergola or gazebo would suit your plans for the use of the patio. While cushions could be stored out of the sun when not in use, as you choose your furnishings, so please remember that the southern sun will bleach/fade the color fabrics and even furnishings such as wicker whereas your black metal furnishings could easily be repainted as needed so you can avoid making decisions you might well regret. Even if you prefer new furnishings for your summer use of your patio, your metal furnishings could be repainted and set in another, perhaps shady, area of your yard with their legs on individual pavers with their tops at ground level. Your view from your patio will matter so consider what you can do to improve any areas you might prefer looked better even if it is only adding a green hedge visual around the edges of your yard. Pick shrubs that will look good year round. If you are in Zone 7, consider Aucuba or Camellia or the type of Abelia bushes that keep their leaves year round and provide color and/or blooms. Looking forward to your after pics....See Morejoycemary
