my updated bathroom choices need help
Comments (4)The Lugarno looks too big because it is too big. I went down that same path and ended up returning several RH and PB bath scornes. The problem, I finally concluded, is that they are designed for bathrooms, not powder rooms, and large scale bathrooms at that. PB has one, the Nash Candlestick, that might work for you. But do take some time to look at other sites or in your local lighting shop for sconces that aren't made for bathrooms but for dining rooms or halls. The scale will be smaller and there will be more designs that "speak the same language" as your house and your design plan. (Which BTW looks great. I think the gold mirror would look terrific with polished nickle fixtures and keep it from being too matchy, matchy.)...See MoreNeed help with roof color, siding and trim color and window trim updat
Comments (5)The window trim change would be to Craftsman style. Unless you are doing the work yourself it seems a lot of expense for little difference on upstairs windows. It would, however, be extremely easy to do on your front door as you would only need to change the top board. And you could replace the side lights with solid wood inserts, or you could use textured glass that would obscure the view while still letting light in. While the limestone exterior is very light it has a yellow hue. Simply speaking the easiest way to find colors that work with the warm limestone is to choose a nearby color. That was probably why the trim is green. Since you prefer a modern look, I suggest you keep your siding light and use color only in the trim. Below are two combinations that I like. I darkened the roof color in these pictures....See MoreNeed help with my kitchen window choice/color dilemma!
Comments (20)It is sort of unclear to me exactly what kind of window you are considering ...but I do know that the window in the kitchen is the most important one in the house....I wouldn’t want one of those (little square)divided ones for sure...and I would look for an option that does not have a divider right in the middle of the view from the sink...couple of reasons...this is the only window you look out of ... from about 2’ away...often during the day...secondly it will be most obvious when it is dirty or water splattered...so easy access ...for in and out cleaning ...is essential....if necessary even widening the window to allow a solid center glass with two small side sliders...would be preferable......See MoreYikes! I appreciate the work you did to show me what it would look like with full colors. @chloebud-um, I think you are right...they all look great! this will be a tough decision. but I agree, it looks better with the end painted. thank you!...See MoreUser
