2 story fireplace ideas needed

Need ideas for fireplace wall with HUGE TV (that needs to stay,family member sight/sound challenged)

Still don't know what to do with this wall in new build? Moving to another state in next year or two so need budget friendly ideas that will help with sale.

Trying to stay away from built-ins/ bookshelves since then I would have to pay for, style and keep clean!! Trying not to do much construction.

HVAC an issue with upper vents for A/C and lower vents for heating that need to be considered and not blocked.... Thought about floating cabinets either side of fireplace or maybe console table?? to not block vents....I think the mantle is too small on fireplace but maybe we can work with it....

Room open to kitchen with white shaker cabinets and light fantasy brown counters(that has lots of gray through it)

First photo is slate surround linear fireplace on the front side of my house.

Followed by photos of the family room wall that needs help!and current furniture (looks darker than actual)

OK here is your board and batten concept around the fireplace even using the existing tile so you don't have to replace it.

There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube to see how to accomplish this by simply adding feature boards to the face of the drywall after you pop off the mantel.

Geez, I spent half the 30 minutes straightening your photo and cleaning off all the writing. Think first before you start posting bad photos for us to work from.

True about the LED bulbs. And I agree about hating an off-center chandelier. That would drive me absolutely nuts! I was just on the Aladdin light lift website and they make lifts that are "remote mount." That might work in this situation. My contractor is looking into it.

I don't even think it needs a new mantle, just a giant piece of art. OP, since you said you like boho, I do still think the fireplace should be painted for that look. if you look up inspiration photos, boho rooms tend to have solid color backdrops since the decor is so full of color and patterns. (those brick colors look really 80s to me, not the best backdrop for the current boho look IMO.) however like the others said, you might want to wait. paint the trim, decorate, live in the space for a while. it might grow on you. painting brick is super tedious. you'll want scaffolding because you'll have to stand up there for many hours. I'm a DIYer at heart but would 100% hire somebody to do that one. so you might want to give it some time and see!

I don't care for either one of these mirrors against the stone. Unless they reflected a fabulous view or chandelier I wouldn't do that. I would try to come up with something unexpected. We don't know your style, so it is hard to suggest the right idea. This ladder vignette made me think of a big antique ladder with some interesting tapestries folded and hung over a few of the rungs. Here's a variation on the horse idea.

@Yvette Williams - I would just make sure that you have enough space should you ever want to mount a larger TV. Also, and this is my preference, I'd make the TV height such that when you Iook at it, your head would be straight/at rest. I often see people who mount TVs over a fireplace and the screen is mounted too high. So, they've got to tilt their heads up to see the screen.
