Questions for those with T&G ceilings.
Comments (2)What's LL? We have T&G planks, with random seams. Our planks are 16' and the kitchen is about 23, so lots of room for random placement....See MoreHas anyone whitewashed T&G ceilings?
Comments (8)This has been my conundrum for the past several weeks. Everyone says not to cover up wood, but I went against the status quo and am painting it white. Please don't hate me everyone and say mean things! I've already had that done to me. I've looked long and hard at pics that resembled what it would look like leaving it alone and painting it. I think it comes down to the look and feel that you are trying to accomplish. We stained the beams a dark walnut color and are in the middle of painting the ceiling now. We are priming it first and then will apply a ceiling white. For me, the decision was based on having too much wood in the house and making me feel like I was living in a VRBO mountain cabin in Aspen. Not like that is a bad thing, but I wanted a more light, airy feeling, than to be in a cliche mountain cabin. We will be having hardwood throughout the living room, kitchen and dining room, hallway. All interior doors will be wood with hardwood blinds and trim. All trim/doors will be the same as the beams....See MoreStain, White Wash, or Paint for clear cedar T&G exterior ceiling
Comments (0)I am looking for advice on the colour and type of stain/paint to use on our new exterior tongue and groove clear cedar ceiling. The natural colour does not work with our choice of new siding. I'd like it to be lighter in colour - on the greige side, I think...? Or white washed? Any special instructions for white washing tongue and groove cedar that is already installed?...See MorePaint and floor suggestion for Pine T&G ceiling
Comments (8)Laura, I'm just seeing your post and realize it was years ago, but I'm curious as to what you decided to go with in regards to the flooring. We have a similar tongue and groove "yellowed" pine ceiling, darker stained trim throughout so NO interest in the time and money to "change" those. Our flooring is what we are looking at right now. Did you have the planks go the same direction as the ceiling? What "species" and stain did you decide on your flooring. We are looking into floating LV options....See Morenhb22
