Any AGT fans out there?

Anyone watch the first auditions last night? What did you think? I absolutely LOVED the opening dog act, I agree with whichever judge it was that said it was the best animal act they've ever had. There were a number of really good acts, and this is only the beginning!

But I do wish they could do something to fix the acoustics. At least I think that is the problem, I know my hearing is really bad, so that may be part of it. But often the audience noise drowns out the act. And last night, the music completely drowned out a young man singing. From the reaction of the judges, he must have been really good, but I couldn't distinguish his voice from the accompanying music.

And how about the magician!! I thought he was incredible. I agree about the dog act. They should be declared winners right now. I think I understood them to say that the dogs were all rescues. I didn't like the young boy singing. Lots of screaming and vocal gymnastics!

Loved the dog act. choir was amazing, little singer boy so good and the father son comedians were also good.

I watched a tiny bit, I will watch later when I have more time. I did see a small part of the guy on the wire, hoop, sheet thing, he was good

Any fans? Any fans? You kidding? I live in Ferris Bueller's town and have been here since 1977. Now Ferris' big beautiful white house was in another suburb but much of the film was made on our streets, our school exterior, I think and it was our town water tower which was painted with Ferris references. John Hughes attended school here and loved his town. Many Hughes films are done here and about here. The parents of my daughters friends(age 21) were extras in the movies. Yes, we are Ferris B fans here. The first name of a puppy on my street is "Ferris" and I won't say the last name. We also love Home Alone, et al., Sixteen Candles

I watched a few episodes online and they're running it on PBS now. There's some amusing spots and I like the premise. I really *want* to like it but can't get into it. Some of the accents are too heavy and hard to understand which makes it difficult to follow too. Either it's going to take a while to get used to it or I don't know if I can get into it. Maybe I just need to sit and watch it from the beginning to get used to the cast and watch it grow a bit. There's a lot of the britcoms I really enjoy but can't really get into this one yet.

Now that you mention it -- yes, seems like it was gone and suddenly it's reappeared. I sent the link to "Very Stable Genius" to my parents, and my mom emailed me fairly late last night, saying they'd been having the BEST time watching all of his stuff they could find. The new fan club extends far and wide!

I really enjoyed Preacher Lawson! I also thought he was poking fun at himself for losing to a 12 year old - not complaining about her. I liked that he was able to respond in a very funny way in the moment....while he may (or may not) stick to a script for his act, he didn't need a script to have a funny comeback. I liked Terry Crews as host much better than Tyra, who was fine, but Nick Cannon was a hard act for Tyra to follow. Edited to add, YES, Sophie was absolutely amazing. That spinning from her neck in the hoop was incredible. I am happy with Preacher Lawson winning, but do wish Sophie would have won.

I didn't know it was back on but when I checked my recordings this morning, I see that it was recorded. I'll be anxious to watch the dog act. I always enjoy the trained animal acts especially.

The magician was good. His act was very similar to an act on BGT from a few years ago.

I tired of the show. I hate the dog acts. Really HATE the dog acts. And all the dance groups. Every season there is a ventriloquist who they say is the "best we've ever seen!". There's the one 10 year old who sings better than any other ten year old. There's the person who is homeless. There's the person who fought a deadly disease and is living their dream. There's always that person who has the sob story. I used to watch it but stopped a long time ago.

I think the magician was just a set up tho....why not? The little boy he adopted was precious, I enjoyed his story.

The dog act was very CLEVER! Unique and original!

The little boy singing....needs a voice coach. There are so many already in the past that were so much better. Remember Celine, her sister Dion? Whoah!

The aerialist....he was A M A Z IN G ! Soooooooooooooooo good!

I'm glad Sofia is back as a judge too. Did you see her trying to crack a walnut with her butt?! ha ha My kind'a gurl! Give it a try and get a laugh....

I liked the magician. The dog act was good but I hate all the backstories. This is a talent show and that should be the only criteria.
