What type of replacement do you want? Ornate, nondescript, etc??? Are you planning on keeping the stone edging? Also, what is the size?

Painting it all the same color as your siding will help it fade.

Is there a room over the garage? You could add a window.

Would like to keep the stone. Something more modern. No room for a window; that’s the kid’s bed. I want to say it’s about 3.5 ft across.

I agree with painting it and if I don’t find anything else may do that and try to remove the large flower in the center.

If you are lucky they created this on a piece of wood and fixed it to the side of the house so you can remove the whole thing, repair and paint

I think if you remove the outside stone work and possibly remove or edit the center part, then it would be way less fussy and fit the house much better.

That is in Scarperia in Italy. You could tell your HOA that you are planning on taking down your homemade rosette because you are worried it is dangerously loose but will replace it with a cleaned up version of this
